No data collection

The Performance Tool extension does not collect, transmit, or share any user data. All information read by the extension stays on your device.

What the extension reads

When you open the popup, the extension reads performance timing data from the active tab using the browser's built-in Performance API (window.performance). This data is displayed locally in the popup and is never sent anywhere.

Local storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your preferences (such as resource URL patterns to ignore) on your device only. This data is never synced or transmitted.

Permissions

The extension requests tabs, activeTab, scripting, and storage permissions solely to read performance data from the active tab and store local preferences. No permission is used to track browsing activity or collect personal information.
